Rock & Roll Party Ideas
If you saw the original version of Grease then you know the song “Rock & Roll is Here to Stay” it will never die. Here’s a fun party idea for the kid that loves Guitar Hero, Rock Band or just dreams of being a music star. And it works for boys or girls.
The first thing you need is some awesome party invitations and then that will establish your color theme. All these invitations are easily customized with an instant online proof and they come with envelopes.
Party Invitations
Now that you found the perfect invitation you’ll need some other cool party stuff.
Setting the Stage
String colorful Guitar Lights over the food table. Hang Music Posters behind the table. Put a twinkle in their eyes when you sprinkle star confetti around the food table (if the children are old enough.) Use brightly colored Neon napkins and Orange neon reusable plastic plates or some other neon color.
Depending on your budget, you could enhance the party theme with a strobe light and when the kids are doing their favorite rock star impression the spotlights on them— literally.
Party Food
That fabulous lime green guitar cake was from Betty Crocker. They have a video how-to to help you as well as a free downloadable template.
Cookies in the shape of guitars, notes and stars will have the kids singing your praise. You could wrap the cookies individually and include them in their grab bag or have them out for the kids to munch on.
Beef Toquitos- as they said, “like tacos only neater”
Calzones - folded over pizza but much neater
Chicken fingers on a stick with a variety of dipping sauces
Lemonade with berry ice cubes
Novelties
Glam it up and watch the kids ham it up with these funky star neon colored sunglasses. And what concert would be complete without glowsticks and braclets?
For the younger crowd– have them decorate they’re own inflatable guitar with markers and they can take it home after the party.
If you have some great pictures of your party you can send them to us and we’ll include them in a post.
